What stays local
Project files, truth records, source maps, chat records, connector receipts, and SHA-256 lineage are processed on the computer running TruthSpine. A connected third-party service may process data you deliberately send to it under that service's policy.
Optional product analytics
Usage analytics are off until you turn them on in Settings, and licensing works whether they are on or off. With consent, TruthSpine sends bounded daily counts for app sessions, project or folder attachments, GitHub attachments, connected agents, connector use, updates, and value events. Random salted hashes let those counts stay grouped by the same pseudonymous customer, project, and repository over time without sending project names, paths, repository names, source content, prompts, truth packets, email addresses, license keys, or raw device IDs.
Marketplace limits
Public marketplace impressions and download totals are aggregate vendor reports. Microsoft, Apple, VS Code, Open VSX, and JetBrains do not provide a lawful universal person-level join key. TruthSpine links a customer journey only after a connector or app creates a privacy-safe first-party journey and the licensing authority verifies a trial or purchase.
Licensing services
Microsoft Store ownership is verified through exact Store product and SKU entitlements; Apple ownership is verified through StoreKit. TruthSpine retains pseudonymous entitlement evidence needed to protect the trial and purchase, not raw marketplace tokens or project content. Stripe remains a legacy entitlement channel.
Your controls
Settings controls optional analytics and can export TruthSpine-managed data, create a customer-safe support bundle, or delete the selected project's TruthSpine data without deleting source files. Contact support for a pseudonymous analytics-history deletion request. Raw optional usage events are retained for up to 400 days; essential entitlement and transaction evidence follows licensing, refund, fraud-prevention, and legal retention needs.
